Our recent condo renovation had a leak above the ceiling. There was an access panel for a roof vent but no one really knew what it was. After heavy rains we investigated to find that the dryer vents exited into a duct box. This had never been cleaned and no one knew about it. The leaks were coming from unsealed seams and screws.

We were able to identify the issue, clean it out and seal things up. It also alerted the building HOA and owners to be aware so theirs can be sealed. These serve two units and exit to the exterior facade.

Condos come with their own unique systems that are not often conveyed as purchases and property management turnovers happen. We try to help all of our clients in high rises navigate the many issues that are far different than in residential home.

Condos often aren’t designed for accessibility when they are built out. Here as part of the bathroom remodel we moved the framing around the structural column back 8”. Reduced the vanity depth and also the drawers beside it to allow more access to the shower and the toilet area. It came out great and our clients are very happy.

Happy Saturday! I want to give a big shout out to our new manager Matt. Matt came to work for Innovex during the pandemic of 2020. He was a career bartender/manager and wanted to learn the trades. Over a year and a half he got to do everything from demo fireplaces to high rise renovations. With his background in management, desire to learn and to motivate he was the perfect candidate to fill the manager role at Innovex. He is currently managing the downtown @terranovabeerco project that was the former Bhamari Brewing. We are excited for our employees who get to work with him and for our clients who will get to know him. A few fun facts about Matt is he absolutely loves music, mushroom hunting and spending time with his wife and friends.
